Community Advisory Committee (CAC)
The Moreno Valley Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is open to all who have an interest in Special Education. The purpose of the CAC is to provide education and support to parents and guardians, encourage community acceptance of students with special needs, improve communication between parents and guardians, district administrators, and MVUSD Board of Education, and to enhance the quality of special education services in the district. The CAC desires to make available to individuals with disabilities and their parents or guardians a forum where they may express the general needs of educational programs for students with disabilities.
Meetings
The CAC meets quarterly with the purpose of sharing resources, information, and ideas. It provides a place for parents to network with other parents, community members, and SELPA staff. The CAC meetings also provide a forum to raise questions and express concerns as well as receive training to build your skills as a care provider for children with disabilities.
From September through December of the 2026-2027 School Year, CAC Meetings will be held at the Wellness Center located at 23990 Eucalyptus Ave., Moreno Valley CA. Starting with our first meeting in 2027, we will return to hosting CAC meetings in the Board Room at the District Office located at 25634 Alessandro Blvd., Moreno Valley. CAC meetings take place from 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm. Spanish interpreters and childcare are provided. If interpreters are needed for any languages other than Spanish, please contact the Special Education Department at (951) 571-7500.
