ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Welcome to Box Springs! Situated on a hill with expansive views of Moreno Valley, Box Springs Elementary School first opened its doors to Kindergarten through fifth grade students in 1989. Today Box Springs Elementary serves over 400 students from TK (transitional kindergarten) through sixth grade classes at the elementary level, providing a more personalized learning experience for our sixth grade scholars.

At Box Springs Elementary School, we welcome and value our students' individual strengths and abilities. Our staff is committed to ensuring that we support all of our students as they set and achieve their goals. We challenge our students to be their best and we guide them through their successes and challenges. We value the support of our families and parent organizations. The collaborative relationship between our staff and parents is the foundation upon which our children build their skills and thrive towards becoming life-long learners.

Our school-wide PBIS ( Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) program promotes positive, predictable, safe, environments for all students in the school setting. In addition to meeting our students' academic needs and growth, we also strive to meet their social and emotional needs and development through the school-wide implementation of culture and climate SEL (Social Emotional Learning) Practices and Strategies.

We are Box Springs Elementary- where students are respected, valued, challenged, and appreciated.

STEAM

STEAM activities at Box Springs include our Greaves' Garden where students are learning about all aspects of growing fruits, vegetables, plants and flowers. Through maintenance and planning students are working cooperatively to enjoy a successful and productive garden. Teachers are encouraged to use these STEAM Labs as catalysts that inspire future STEAM lessons that they plan within their own classrooms.
